Tree Portiere Silk Habotai Scarf
Description
DESIGNER'S NOTES
This Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf features a design derived from a tapestry created by John Henry Dearle on behalf of the Morris Company c.1909. The tapestry features a tree in the centre panel with birds and other foliage, surrounded by a wide intricate floral border.
A portiere is a decorative curtain or hanging used to divide or embellish interior spaces. Often employed in doorways or arches, portieres add elegance and warmth to a room enhancing both privacy and aesthetic appeal in homes and interior settings.
