The pattern accurately reflects the Millefleurs style of late-medieval Franco-Flemish tapestries, combined with the ornate marginalia of 15th-century manuscript illumination. It features dense floral clusters, including strawberries, violets, and daisies, that mirror the trompe l'oeil borders found in famous devotional texts. The design specifically draws inspiration from the naturalistic botanical detail seen in the Huth Hours , the Hastings Hours , and the Lady and the Unicorn tapestry series. The individual motifs are historically grounded in the Renaissance rediscovery of Grotesque ornamentation and Flemish manuscript tradition.
