Forest Light Silk Habotai Scarf
Description
DESIGNER'S NOTES This Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf features a design typical of patterns on a huipli, in this case from an example created in Guatemala c.1960, with blocks of vibrant colour representing foliage and simple depictions of birds. A huipil is a traditional Mexican and Guatemalan garment, typically a sleeveless tunic or blouse, often elaborately embroidered or woven with vibrant colours and intricate designs. Originating in Mesoamerica, particularly among indigenous Mayan and Aztec cultures, huipils have deep cultural significance and are still worn today as a symbol of heritage and identity. COLOURS STYLING A Fox & Chave habotai silk scarf can be worn with the classic knot style or a pussycat bow. You can even create a shawl effect by knotting two scarves together behind your neck and allowing them to drape over your shoulders. More scarf styling ideas are available in this wonderful How to Tie a Scarf book. Length: 150 cm Width: 33.5 cm Dry clean only 100% Habotai Silk Hand Rolled Hems
