Description

DESIGNER'S NOTES A richly detailed Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf featuring an element from a watercolour by Abu'l Fazi, which depicts Emperor Akbar (r.1556-1605) crossing the River Ganges with Elephants in 1567, and taken from the  Akbarnama . The Akbarnama is a three-volume historical record of the life and reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, created by his court historian Abu'l Fazl in the late 16th century. Commissioned by Akbar himself, it covers his lineage, conquests, governance, and the socio-political environment of his time. The first volume details Akbar's ancestors, the second narrates events of his reign, and the third, called the Ain-i-Akbari , documents the administrative, cultural, and economic practices of the empire. Richly illustrated with Mughal miniatures, the Akbarnama serves as both a biography and an ethnographic record, highlighting Akbar's policies of tolerance and his interest in cultural and religious integration.  COLOURS STYLING A Fox & Chave habotai silk scarf can be worn with the classic knot style or a pussycat bow. You can even create a shawl effect by knotting two scarves together behind your neck and allowing them to drape over your shoulders.
