Morris Seaweed Chiffon Scarf
Description
DESIGNER'S NOTES A lush Fox & Chave silk chiffon scarf featuring a combination design of several patterns from the vast archive of the Morris Company founded by the arts and crafts pioneer William Morris (1834-1896). The main pattern at the centre was created by John Henry Dearle in 1901 and depicts an underwater rendering of sinuous plant forms and stems against a deep blue ground, suitably titled Seaweed . The paler blue floral border patterns are from one of many designs by Morris named simply Marigold, this one from 1875. The colourful wide floral border pattern is called Evenlode from 1883. COLOURS STYLING There are many ways to style a Fox & Chave chiffon silk scarf including the basic drape, belted drape and reverse drape. Our chiffon silk scarfs look really good worn in the bandit knot or faux infinity style too. More scarf styling ideas are available in this wonderful How to Tie a Scarf book.
