Kandinsky Colour Cubes Silk Habotai Scarf
Description
DESIGNER'S NOTES A multi-coloured Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf with a design featuring elements from the painting Yellow-Red-Blue by Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944). Executed in 1925 during his influential Bauhaus period, Yellow-Red-Blue , reflects a shift from chaotic pre-war expressionism to structured, geometric abstraction. Moving away from the fluid style of his earlier Improvisation series, this masterpiece embodies his theoretical research into the spiritual and psychological properties of form and colour. The canvas is divided into two contrasting zones: a bright, energetic left side dominated by sharp yellow shapes and straight lines, and a more muted , deep blue right side featuring soft, organic curves. By masterfully balancing these opposing forces Kandinsky creates a complex visual harmony that exemplifies the rigorous, analytical spirit of the Bauhaus movement. COLOURS STYLING A Fox & Chave habotai silk scarf can be worn with the classic knot style or a pussycat bow. You can even create a shawl effect by knotting two scarves together behind your neck and allowing them to drape over your shoulders.
