DESIGNER'S NOTES A Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf featuring a simple floral block print of rose leaves, branches, thorns and flowers with a wide red border. The Tudor rose, combining the red rose of Lancaster and the white rose of York, symbolises the union of the two rival houses following the Wars of the Roses, most notably through the marriage of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York in 1486. It became a potent emblem of peace, unity, and legitimacy for the Tudor dynasty, appearing in royal heraldry, architecture, and decorative arts. The red petals signified passion and strength, the white petals purity and innocence, and together they conveyed harmony restored after civil strife. COLOURS STYLING A Fox & Chave habotai silk scarf can be worn with the classic knot style or a pussycat bow. You can even create a shawl effect by knotting two scarves together behind your neck and allowing them to drape over your shoulders. More scarf styling ideas are available in this wonderful  How to Tie a Scarf  book. Length: 150 cm Width: 33.5 cm Dry clean only 100% Habotai Silk Machine Finished
