DESIGNER'S NOTES This Fox & Chave chiffon silk scarf features a repeat design after elements from the painting A Vase of Tulips (1885) by Claude Monet (1840-1926). Most renowned for painting en plein air , or outdoors with his exhaustive studies of the effects of light in differing seasons and atmospheric conditions on subjects such as haystacks, Rouen Cathedral, the River Thames in London, or the water lilies on his large garden pond, like many artists of the time Monet also painted simple still lives.
