Tudor Jewels Habotai Scarf

DESIGNER'S NOTES A Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf with an element of various precious stones and Tudor style jewellery derived from a page in a Flemish book of hours, produced in Ghent or Bruges c.1510 .  This kind of jewellery from the Renaissance period saw a revival in the late Victorian era, sometimes referred to as the neo-Renaissance movement, that informed much design and art at that time. The jewellery was often referred to as Holbeinesque , after the kind depicted in the portraits of figures from the Tudor period by the artist Hans Holbein the Younger, who also left detailed drawings of some pieces.  COLOURS STYLING A Fox & Chave habotai silk scarf can be worn with the classic knot style or a pussycat bow. You can even create a shawl effect by knotting two scarves together behind your neck and allowing them to drape over your shoulders.
