Wilton Diptych Pendant
Description
DESIGNER'S NOTES This classic silver plated pendant features a white hart as it appears on the obverse side of the Wilton Diptych. The Wilton Diptych, a late 14th-century English portable altarpiece, consists of two hinged oak panels painted with tempera and gold leaf. It depicts King Richard II kneeling before the Virgin and Child surrounded by angels. Rich symbolism, luminous blues, intricate patterns, and detailed heraldry demonstrate International Gothic elegance and devotional intimacy. STYLING The pendant is a few centimetres in diameter with a 450mm chain, so style outside high necklines, or against the skin with lower necklines. Wear with jewellery of similar scale, such as a simple silver bracelet. Length: 26 mm Width: 26 mm Wipe Clean Silver Plate High Polish Shine
