DESIGNER'S NOTES A fine pair of Fox & Chave cufflinks featuring an element from a ceiling design by the 18th century Scottish Architect Robert Adam (1728-1792). Adam transformed eighteenth-century design with his distinctive neoclassical style known as the ' Adam Style .' Drawing inspiration from ancient Roman and Greek architecture, Adam reimagined classical motifs with elegance and restraint, integrating architecture, interior design, and decorative arts into a unified aesthetic. His work balanced symmetry with lightness, colour, and ornamentation, moving away from the heavy Palladianism of his predecessors.
