Hokusai Wave A5 Hardback Notebook
Description
DESIGNER'S NOTES A hardback A5 notebook with lined pages and a ribbon marker, featuring an element on the cover from the Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai (1760-1849). Hokusai, had an eccentric and restless nature. He changed his name over 30 times during his lifetime, often to mark new phases in his artistic journey or to reflect his evolving identity. Funniest of all, Hokusai referred to himself as “Gakyo Rojin” in his later years, meaning "Old Man Mad About Art." Even in his 70s and 80s, he was passionate about improving his craft, declaring on his deathbed that if he only had ten more years, he could become a truly great artist!
